Mascarello’s Monopole vineyard, Monprivato, in the commune of Castiglione Faletto, produces one of Piedmont’s most complex, singular and long-lived expressions of Nebbiolo. The steep hillside vineyard is comprised of nearly 100% calcaire soils. As a result, the wine shows both incredible power and finesse, along with a real transparency of the site that would make any terroirist jump with joy.
