Here we grow Pinot Noir, Riesling, and Tempranillo, all on resistant rootstocks. The rows are 6’ wide, so each acre contains between 1400 & 2200 plants. Planted beginning of 2001, the soils are volcanic - Jory, Gelderman and Ritner. Elevations are 460' to 585', with aspects of South, Southeast and Southwest. AVA is Eola-Amity Hills, so the site is influenced by the afternoon breezes from the Van Duzer corridor in the coastal range, as with much of the western portion of the Eola-Amity Hills.

Here the nose is compositionally similar to that of the straight pinot if perhaps a bit more complex. There is however a bit more mid-palate concentration to the delicious and appealingly textured medium-bodied flavors that stop just short of being suave, all wrapped in a dusty finish where the supporting tannins possess just a bit more phenolic maturity. 89/2020+
