The 2014 Solea, Roagna's Chardonnay/Nebbiolo blend, is once again one of the most compelling white wines being made in Piedmont today. Creamy, textured and layered, the Solea offers striking depth and nuance throughout. All of the fruit for the Solea comes from the family's Pira vineyard in Castiglione Falletto. The Nebbiolo is vinified with no skin contact, but nevertheless give the wines its shape and feel. Roagna gave the 2014 two years in cask.
