Vineyard:The Campot vineyard is in the commune of Barbaresco.
Orientation:Southeast exposition at 280 m in elevation.
Soil:The white soil is full of limestone and clay.
Viticulture:Hand-harvested in early September. Part of this vineyard was planted in 1997 and part in 1970. Practicing organic. .
Vinification:Fermented in stainless steel for about 10 days with periodic punching down of the cap.
Aging:Aged for nine months in stainless steel followed by three months in the bottle before release.
Production:About 4,500 bottles.
Tasting:Some of the Castello di Verduno wines have a drawing of a flower found in the wine's vineyards.The Dolcetto label has a drawing of forget-me-nots. In the local Piedmontese dialect, Campot refers to a vineyard on the upper slopes of a hill.
