Vineyard:Calera's Central Coast wines are made from grapes grown by selected vineyards in California's Central Coast viticultural area. These include the Scheid, Laetitia, Zabala and Doctor's Vineyards.
Soil:Primarily sandy, silt and clay soils
Viticulture:The grapes for the Central Coast Pinot Noir were hand harvested. Some of the sites employ organic vilticulture.
Vinification:All lots were fermented with native yeasts in small, open top fermenters.
Aging:Aged without racking in mostly Francois Freres barrels, 10% new, for eleven months.
