The 2016 Chablis appeared quite lucid in color with strong green tints. The nose is well defined with touches of wild honey that soon recede and leave quite a lovely, wet limestone scent. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, a pleasant touch of spice and pleasant weight, perhaps without the edge of the great 2014s but with a fine oyster shell note on the aftertaste. This just has the edge over the 2015.
