The 2015 Chablis 1er Cru Vaucoupin has a brilliant bouquet with outstanding mineralité and terroir expression, a wine that could not come from anywhere but Chablis. The palate is very well balanced, tightly wound, linear and taut and then fans out with zeal towards the finish, delivering the knockout salinity that carries the wine through on the aftertaste. This comes highly recommended and is one of Picq's best wines this vintage.

A wonderfully elegant, pure and equally airy nose offers outstanding complexity with its oyster shell, citrus and pretty mix of both white and yellow orchard fruit aromas. There is fine delineation to the punchy and rich middle weight flavors that possess a caressing mouth feel before culminating in a lingering finish where a hint of bitter lemon arises. This is lovely and the natural finesse of Vaucoupin is evident.

Paler yellow than the Vaudécorse. Much less exotic on the nose than the foregoing samples despite its 13.3% alcohol, showing lovely lift to its chalk and floral aromas; distinctly more minerally. Fat, plush and smooth in the middle palate but with good energy and reserve. Still a bit aggressive on the rising back end, finishing with a suggestion of orange zest.
