Vineyard: All estate owned vineyards on pure schist with very steep inclines. Most of the vineyards are terraced. The vine ages range from 30 years up to over 80. Brandan is made from 100% Godello
Orientation: North facing in the Amandi sub zone.
Soil: schist locally called "losa"
Viticulture: The vineyard work is all done by hand including harvest. Fernando Gonzalez is in charge of the viticulture and practices biodynamics.
Vinification: The wine ferments naturally in stainless steel.
Aging: No oak aging on the wine.
Production: Average of 500 cases produced per vintage
Notes: The name Brandan comes from the name of the Celtic warlord who originally settled this part of Spain and the name pays homage to this Celtic lineage.
