The 2016 Narbantons chez Camus is an absolute classic in the making. The first class bouquet offers up scents of cherries, red currants, spice tones, a touch of orange zest, roasted gamebird, cocoa, gentle smokiness and an exotic touch of eucalyptus in the upper register. On the palate the wine is pure, full-bodied and more reserved in profile than the les Lavières, with a rock solid core, fine-grained tannins and a very long, focused and nascently complex finish. Just add a bit of patience and voila! 2025-2065.
