Vineyards from around the town of Taurasi.
350-400m in elevation.
3,500 plants per hectare. 20-50 year-old vines.
Long maceration in steel for about one month.
Aged eighteen months in tonneau followed by six months in stainless steel and twelve months in the bottle before release.
Deep ruby. Ripe black cherry, flint and herbs on the profound, complex nose. Bright, dense and rich; lively acidity lifts the almost decadently ripe red cherry fruit, nicely framed by sweet, polished tannins. Finishes long and ripe with a bright, refreshing floral nuance. Outstanding Taurasi that manages the neat trick of being remarkably concentrated yet very light on its feet. Bravo!
