The 2015 Chardonnay Russian River is scented of poached pears, apple pie and allspice with hints of honeycomb, cedar chest and peach blossoms. Medium-bodied, the palate has quite an oaky presence with plenty of rich, ripe fruit to match and a satiny texture, finishing with a lively lift. 300 cases produced.
Beautifully crafted, this finds a groove between rich, opulent fruit and seamless elegance. Texturally alluring, gliding along on a fleshy bed of fig, honeydew, pear, apple and light toasty oak. Drink now through 2020. 450 cases made.
The 2015 Chardonnay (Russian River Valley) is super-expressive. Tangerine, apricot, chamomile, spice and lightly buttery notes are all laced together in the glass. The 2016 offers tons of Russian River character but remains gracious and light on its feet. This is another impeccable wine from Peirson Meyer. For its quality and price, the Russian River Chardonnay is the hidden gem in this range.
