Caitlin Quinn was raised in San Luis Obispo wine country by two wine loving parents who passed along their passion for all things vinous.  After attending college at UC Santa Cruz, Caitlin was offered her first harvest position at Michel-Sclumberger and knew that she had found her calling.  She later returned to the Santa Cruz Mountains to take a position working with Jeff Emery at Santa Cruz Mountain Vineyards.  It was here that Caitlin gained experience working with several classic varietals (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Cabernet), but also more obscure Spanish and Portuguese plantings from old vine vineyards.  Caitlin spent some time making wine in New Zealand before returning to California to become the assistant winemaker at Unti and then landing at Arnot Roberts as the assistant winemaker, where she remains today. 

Finding inspiration from her family, friends, and incredible mentors in Santa Cruz and Sonoma Counties, she started NoneSuch Wines in 2017 with a tiny production of Mourvedre from the Enz Vineyard, an own-rooted, dry-farmed, head-pruned parcel in San Benito County planted in 1923.  Embracing minimalist winemaking techniques in order to express vineyard terroir fully, the grapes are hand-harvested and foot tread, fermented whole-cluster naturally with native yeasts, and aged in entirely neutral oak barrels.  In Caitlin's words, "NoneSuch is a feeling of discovery, something aligning in the right time and place, transmitted through soil into wine. It is seeking out exceptional and inspiring vineyards where grapes convey the soil and climate unique to their position in California".
